Mr. Roy Nelson, age 66, of Opp passed away Feb. 27, 2023, in an Opp hospital.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held March 4, 10 a.m., at New Chapel Baptist Church (3656 Hwy. 189, Kinston, AL). The family will receive friends from 9 a.m., until time of services. Rev. Terry Godwin will officiate. Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with the services.
Left to cherish his memory are sons, Douglas Aaron Nelson of Opp and Jeremy Wade Nelson of Kinston; step-daughter, Kristina Spurlin Nelson; brothers, Gerald Nelson and J.W. Nelson, both of Opp; sisters, Carolyn Mack (Eddie) of Kinston, Doris Ann Hudson of Opp, and Lucile Kilpatrick of Opp; and a grandchild, Taylor Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Lynn Nelson, in 2004.
