GEORGE, Allene

Mrs. Allene L. George, 91, of Athens, Alabama, died Monday, September 14, 2020, at her residence. Mrs. George was born August 14, 1929, in Limestone County. She was a member of Blackburn Road Baptist Church in Athens. She was a homemaker and a seamstress.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with James Ray and Greg Patrick officiating. Burial in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation is from 10:30 a.m. to service Friday at Spry Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Frankie Lee, Chris Carter, Lance Martin, Roger Chambers, Quinton Sprouse and Brandon Chambers.
Survivors are daughter, Joan Sprouse, of Athens; son, Mike George, of Athens; grandchildren, Somer (Bailey) Reding, of Athens, Jada (Chris) Carter, of Harvest, and Brandon Chambers, of Decatur; great-grandchildren, Finley and Charleigh Reding, Presley Carter, Jynlee Carter, Daulton Chambers and Jordan Chambers; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, Rome and Mattie Lee; husband, Floyd George; sister, Etha Martin; brothers, Price Lee, Fred Lee and James Earl Lee; and son-in-law Larry Sprouse.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
