Command Sergeant Major (Retired) Roland M. Gaddy Sr.

Beloved husband, inspiring father, and cherished PawPaw, United States Army Command Sergeant Major (Retired) Roland M. Gaddy, Sr. joined the ranks of those gone before him on Sunday, September 16, 2018.

CSM Gaddy, a U.S. Army Military Police Corps Hall of Fame recipient and Vietnam Veteran, passed away in Anniston, Alabama, and is survived by his wife, Jeanette Gaddy; his children, Kathy Cousins (Dwain), COL Roland M. Gaddy, Jr. (Lisa), Debby Zaner (Heath), and Cindi Pike (Brad); his grandchildren, Austyn Blais, Matthew Gaddy, Quinn Pike, Hayden Pike, SPC Nick Gaddy, Dylan Cousins, Addie Zaner, Ben Cousins, and Keira Cousins; his brothers, Terry Cox and John C. Cox; his cousins, Nancy Chandler, and Ralph, Billy, and Jimmy Farnsworth; and countless friends, neighbors, and Soldiers whose lives he touched with grace and made them forever better having known him.

His unconditional love, fathomless compassion, unparalleled leadership, and whip-quick wit will live on in the hearts of his children and grandchildren, who would give anything for just one more tractor ride with their buddy.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs, with eulogy to follow.
