Angeline Tyler Hamilton, 84 of Lacey’s Spring, the Morgan City area died Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Hamilton was born September 20, 1930 in Morgan County, the daughter of Walter S. and Lila L. Yancey Tyler. She was a graduate of Arab High School, Class of 1947. She has lived in the Morgan City area most of her life and was a member of Brindlee Mountain Baptist Church. She served as the church’s treasurer for over 30 years and also taught a Sunday School Class at the church. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Jeff T. and Annette Hamilton and Terry L. and Tammy Hamilton; three grandchildren: Nathan, Amelia and Tiffany; her devoted care takers for the last five years: Doris Laster, Hattie Selby, Myra Young, Shelia Dunn, Barbara Evett and Kelly Stanfield; preceded in death by her husband: Harold D. Hamilton (December 14, 2010), her parents: Walter and Lila Tyler, a brother: James Walter Tyler and a sister: Marie Tucker. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2015 at Brindlee Mountain Baptist Church, Brother Robby Boyd, officiating with eulogy by Brother Mike Prince. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery, Morgan County, Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing. Pallbearers will be Gene Bishop, Don Butler, Jerry Gibbs, Nathan Harper, Jeremy Jones and Larry Walker. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City. She will also Lie-In-State at the Church on the day of the Service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. In Lieu-of-Flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Brindlee Mountain Baptist Church’s Building Fund in her memory.
